One thing that makes me happy about fashion is that a classic item stays a classic item. It works with almost everything and never goes out of style.
Trainers are a classic that never goes out of style.
Trainers, sneakers…no matter what you called them have been around since the 18th century. Initially made for exercise and running, they have now become an undeniable fashion statement. We are all aware of the great sports brands trainers like Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Puma…etc. But we have seen Designers also bringing their own styles of trainers. Last year, we have witnessed the revival of the ‘Dad’ trainers especially among designer brands. The Balenciaga speed and the its counterpart the Triple S Trainers were seen on every blogger feet. I do have to confess that I am not a big fans of these two, but I can deny that I love a good pair of ‘creps’ (that’s how kids called them in the UK). I am not joking I can wear them with everything and I do wear them with my skirts, my suits, my jeans and dresses.
So this is just a quick post about some trainers styles I really like.
Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars
For me, Converse is the most versatile trainers. It goes with everything and they just make any outfit cool and effortless. Whether they are Hi or low, classic white or black, they are the ultimate classic trainer.

Nike Air Force One
They were the first basketball trainers with Nike Air Technology. The cushioning in the shoe make them a very comfy shoe. So you can look good while not hurting your feet.

Adidas Gazelle
This is a new crush of mine. I tend to feel like Adidas shoes tend to all look the same with their three vertical band style. But the Gazelle style manage to have the same retro look while looking more modern than its others three bands siblings.

Nike Cortez
This my favourite retro style. It screams 70s/80s but in a good way. I just think they look very fun and young.

Adidas Falcon
This is a newcomer and the best version of ‘dad shoe’ I came across. The sole is still quite chunky but it has an edge that I deem acceptable.

Nike Air Max Thea
This is a a remix of a classic Air Max. It is mixed with the Nike Roshe Run style. Once again, the cushioning in the shoe makes it one of the most comfortable style.

New Balance
I know I mentioned a lot of Adidas and Nike, but I do have to give a shout to New Balance. The timeless 373 and 574 models have a lot of appeal. I particularly love how they mixed colours on their shoe.

Let me know which one was your favourite
